Fallow Deer

Fallow Deer

Fallow deer were native to most of Europe and the Middle East. They stand up to 39″ at the shoulder and weigh as much as 187 lbs. Their life span is between 12-16 years. We raise chocolate, white, common, and menil forms.

Only the bucks have antlers, which are broad and shovel-shaped. The Fallow are grazing animals and prefer a mixed woodland and grassland habitat. They do not have any natural enemies and have increased to numbers that cause serious damage to young trees.
